The brand EVELYN & KATE began as a gesture of gratitude between artist friends who have known each other since childhood. As a gift to Kate for hosting Evelyn at Amoré Gallery, Evelyn printed placemats and napkins in patterns reimagined from both of their paintings. The combination of their styles together yielded bright, stripes, florals and Impressionist-like imagery that complemented each other as well as the paintings displayed side-by-side in the gallery. Evelyn and Kate began printing their patterns on a wide variety of products, favoring textiles, fashion accessories and home decor. Wanting to share the joy of their colorful textiles beyond the gallery, the two artists launched EVELYN & KATE!
